Purpose: The Doris Brooks & Marie Corbin Scholarship for Great Students and Great Citizens will continue to build on the legacy of Doris Brooks and Marie Corbin by providing scholarship money to attend an Institution of Higher Learning of their choice.
Award: The 2016 Scholarship(s) will be for $1,000. More than one winner may be selected. Funds will be paid directly to the institution prior to the start of the Fall 2016 semester. If for any reason, the winner(s) fail to enroll in college the following year, the scholarship will be awarded to the next runner-up.
Eligibility: Applicants must have plans to attend college the upcoming fall semester and provide proof of enrollment before funds will be dispersed.
Application: Applicants should submit 2 letters of recommendation and a 300-500 word essay about how you've demonstrated that you are a great student and do good for humanity. Applications are due November 1, 2016. The winner(s) will be announced on December 1, 2016. Applications should be emailed to mitch@mitchbrooks.com.
